I would say that my style of storytelling is a mix of candids and lightly posed. I enjoy the silly moments, the unprompted moments, because they are filled with emotion, but I also feel the treasure and the value of the family posed and smiling. I like a good mix in my own home, so I strive to provide that for my clients. 

I am based in Raleigh, Nawth Carolina, but I am willing and excited to travel! 

I don't expect them to! I will ask to keep scolding to a minimum to promote a carefree and genuine atmosphere.  In the blink of an eye, your kiddos are grown and those 2 or 3 images of them pouting will be just as cherished as the many images of them smiling and laughing. 

I always try to have backup days available for the event of rain. Typically that call will be made the day off, because I know you have set aside this time specifically, but beautiful weather days for your treasured memories are definitely worth the wait! 

Absolutely! I have worked in so many different homes and have yet to find one that won't work! I love finding that spot in your home with the perfect light and have no issue helping move things around to illustrate the magic of your home. A home visit prior to your session is always an option if you'd like to discuss further, but please no worries about mess!  

It is surprising how many people feel that they are not photogenic! The key to capturing you at your best, is to help you feel relaxed and comfortable.  This is where candid photos come into play, as they capture real emotions and genuine smiles.  Posed photos tend to be more tense, and rigid, so we might veer away if you're seeming too uncomfortable. Helping people feel comfortable in front of the camera is always exhilarating to me and in the end you will have images you'll cherish for a lifetime!
